I had no idea what to call this except for what it is—sweet, effervescent sparkling apple cider gelatin mixed with mellow, creamy panna cotta. It’s what holiday dessert dreams are made of. It’s light, sweet, and perfect for any holiday party from Christmas to Hanukkah to New Years. Plus, it’s so pretty! It’s also very easy to make, which makes it a perfect holiday dessert when you’re crunched for time, and you can make it dairy-free, and it’s naturally gluten-free, too!…

Caramelized Onion and Goat Cheese Tarts
Here is a new series just for December: party appetizers! No matter which holiday party you’re celebrating (Hanukkah party, Christmas party, New Year’s party, etc.…), these appetizers are perfect small bites to delight your guests! And I’m starting off with one of my all-time favorite appetizers, caramelized onion and goat cheese tarts! They only require a handful of ingredients, aren’t very labor intensive, and the sweet-savory flavors meld perfectly in the flaky pastry crust! These holiday appetizers will fly off the plate!…
4-Ingredient Pumpkin Dog Treats
This is the last of the homemade food gifts blog for this year (but fear not! The holiday blogs are not over!). And, as a dog lover, I thought what better way to end than with a treat for your furry canine friends? You only need four ingredients for these treats—they come together quickly, cook quickly, and our dogs go crazy over them! Plus, they’re full of good-for-them ingredients! Talk about a perfect gift for your dog (or dogs)!…
Pumpkin Spice Granola Bark
I’m not the biggest fan of all barks, especially if there’s brittle involved. They’re a little too sticky for me, a little too candy-like (I’m not a big candy person, either, although I will never say no to Chupa Chups…). But throw some chocolate in and I’m there (I love chocolate-peppermint bark)! And that’s why I adore this recipe! It takes the idea of brittle and adds some of my favorite things: chocolate, granola, salty and sweet, nuts and berries. It’s crispy, crunchy, and I love the contrast between the nut-based granola and sweet, but not too sweet, chocolate. It also makes a perfect, and uncommon, homemade holiday food gift!…
Mexican Hot Chocolate Cookie Dough Truffles
I’m starting a new series this week. I’ve already posted a few recipes from the archives, so you may already get the idea, but I’m posting sweet treat recipes you can give as gifts this holiday season! And I’m starting with these simple, delicious, and fun to make Mexican chocolate cookie dough truffles! Sweet, no-bake and easy to make cookie dough enrobed in sweet, cinnamon-scented chocolate—they are obsessively good and anyone you gift these to will be delighted!

Easy Thanksgiving Side: Brussels Sprouts with Bacon
On to the last recipe in this year’s Easy Thanksgiving Side series here on Flurries of Flour! This recipe is classic Thanksgiving, but instead of doing anything on the stove, I let the oven take care of all the work (minus a bit of chopping!). Savory Brussels sprouts with crisped edges are mixed with creamy sweet potatoes and crispy, flavorful bacon! It’s the perfect accompaniment to all your Thanksgiving favorites like turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes!…
Easy Thanksgiving Sides: Stuffed Acorn Squash
Can you believe Thanksgiving is only a week away? I can’t. It seems like just October was just last week. It’s getting to be crunch time, and if you’re still not sure what’s going to be on your Thanksgiving table, let me introduce the third recipe in this year’s Easy Thanksgiving Sides series here on Flurries of Flour, Stuffed Acorn Squash! Seasoned turkey and sausage is mixed with greens, wild rice, and pine nuts, all nestled in a nest of roasted acorn squash. And, as with all the dishes in this series, there are only a handful of ingredients that don’t require much prep, giving you more time to focus on other aspects of your Thanksgiving feast!…
Mediterranean Butternut Squash and Sweet Potatoes
Here is recipe two in the Simple Side Dishes here on Flurries of Flour! Sweet potatoes and, to a lesser extent, butternut squash are synonymous with Thanksgiving. This dish takes the two and adds a delicious, Mediterranean twist on Thanksgiving with herbs, feta cheese, and pomegranate seeds! This dish has sweet from the butternut squash, sweet potatoes, and roasted onions, salty creaminess from the feta cheese, a delicious savory layer from the Greek herbs, and a sweet tang from the pomegranate seeds!

Easy Thanksgiving Side: Herbed Smashed Potatoes
If you’re looking for a simple, easy-to-make Thanksgiving side dish, you won’t find a better one than these herbed smashed potatoes! And you will definitely not be missing out on taste just because you’re going for simplicity instead of slaving for hours over the stove or using a gazillion ingredients (which is sometimes what it feels like).

Pinenut Crusted Salmon
I love salmon in almost every form—smoked, teriyaki, grilled, pan-fried, raw and cooked in sushi, etc.
But, guys, THIS!
This recipe is so good—it turned out even better than I thought it would. Everyone who’s tried it has loved it. And, as with all of the recipes on here, it’s quick and easy to make! It’s also gluten free, dairy free, and egg free (but not nut free, because, well, pine nuts).
